Prepare for Automation Studio Installation and Operation

This topic describes the prerequisites for installing Automation Studio. Some of these requirements may require assistance from your IT department.

1. Prepare your System

Ensure that the machine on which Automation Studio is going to be installed meets the requirements below.

3. Install Third-Party Software

Automation Studio requires that some standard third-party software be installed before installing Automation Studio.

The Automation Studio installation process automatically checks whether the required software packages are already installed and downloads and installs them if they are not.

If you will not have an Internet connection when installing Automation Studio, or if you do not have permission to download and install software, these packages must be downloaded and installed before running the Automation Studio installation.

4. Install the NICE Real-Time Client

The NICE Real-Time Client is a component that allows you to run and test automation solutions created using Automation Studio.

The Automation Studio installation process automatically checks whether the NICE Real-Time Client is already installed, and downloads and installs it if needed.

If you will not have an Internet connection when installing Automation Studio, or if you do not have permission to download and install software, the Real-Time Client must be installed before installing Automation Studio.

Automation Studio supports NICE Real-Time Client 7.1 and above. If an earlier version is installed on your machine, uninstall that before installing Automation Studio.

The Real-Time Client installation can be downloaded from the NICE Software Downloaded Center using the access details and link provided to your administrator user.
